At a special meeting of Council on 13th April, Ian Longbottom was elected
Mayor and Joe Hasserati Deputy Mayor.
We had intended to invite the East Ward councillors to this meeting
so they could meet the community active members of our association.
Unfortunately
the Council is having another special meeting on 21st April to consider
the present proposal from Woolworths. Having been a major debating subject in the recent elections, all Councillors,
particularly the new ones, are now ploughing through a virtual mountain
of papers seeking to digest all the facts about the proposal before further
decisions.
Some 80 or so residents attended our special meeting on 19th March to
hear the various council election candidates
33 GREENWICH RD ( BILLY BLUE )
The developer has now put in amendments to the original development applications
that many will find even worse than the original application.
The lower area that in the original application did not disturb heritage
items and left a large area for recreational purposes. It is now intended
to have four townhouses and three dwelling houses with vehicle access
onto River Rd just west of the River Rd Greenwich Rd traffic lights
If you originally objected to the proposal please look at the changes
and again write in to Council with your concerns as it is virtually being
treated as a new application
For more information on the revision please contact Annabelle Burley on 9460

WATERBROOK (SUNSHINE HOMES)
Another major development application is for the sale and development of more
of Sunshine Homes land which will greatly increase traffic in the Pacific Hwy
and Innes St area For information contact Alan Winney on 9438 5776
DUNTROON AVE
This has not yet died, with Auslands appeal due in court shortly.

Greenwich Rd down to valley, and Eastview and Wilona Av East.
If anybody can help with the, usually, every two months, distribution
please contact either Maryed Hartnell on 9438 1936, or John Gebler on
